Few countries have had a rougher recent history than Cambodia. There was involvement in the American/Vietnam War. Then a genocide, perpetrated by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, left up to three million residents dead.

Phnom Penh was forcibly evacuated during the Khmer Rouge reign. In the 50 years since, recovery has occurred, but slowly. COVID produced another hurdle. Now, the city of 2.5 million people is on its way to reaching its potential.

In this video, I'll take you to places where that dark past is remembered and show you what Phnom Penh is like today. You'll be impressed with what you see and I'm confident you will be overwhelmed by the city, ten years from now.
