High School Girls Basketball: Dowling Catholic vs. Providence Academy

Now this is a kickoff game! Providence Academy won their 2nd straight Class AA state title last season and enters this year as the top girls basketball team in Minnesota according to MaxPreps. Headlining Providence Academy is sophomore Maddyn Greenway, who led the state in scoring and assists last season and is the No. 17 prospect in her class according to ESPNW. Hope Counts, Brooke Hohenecker (St. Thomas - track) and Emma Millerbernd are a few more names that make this Lions team roar.

Dowling Catholic remains a force in Iowa, reaching the Class 5A state semifinals last season. Junior Ava Zediker (Creighton - verbal) is raring to go after a terrific sophomore season, and so are the Muller sisters and Layla Trytten.
