🥟 Homemade Veg MOMOS | DIMSUMS 🥟

Today, we're making mouthwatering homemade veg momos from scratch. This recipe was much requested and why not? These delectable dumplings, filled with a flavourful vegetable stuffing, are a favourite of everyone.

With my easy-to-follow recipe, you'll be able to enjoy the warm, comforting goodness of momos right in the comfort of your home.

Ingredients:

For the dough:
1 cup all-purpose flour
A pinch of salt
1-2 tsp oil
Water, as needed
For the filling:
1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, cabbage, green capsicum, mushrooms, pakchoi etc.)
Spring Onions - Greens and the build (2 sprigs)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
Veg Stock Cube - 1/2 no
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the dough
Combine the all-purpose flour, salt, oil and water in a mixing bowl to make the dough. The dough should be tight, so use water cautiously.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Make the vegetable filling
Heat oil in a pan, add minced garlic, spring onions, onions and sauté. Add mushrooms and cook on a high flame
Then add the mixed vegetables and cook for a few minutes until they become tender
Season with soy sauce, veg stock cube salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the filling cool down
Step 3: Shape the momos
Roll a small portion of the dough into a thin, circular sheet
Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the centre of the sheet.
Carefully fold the edges of the sheet, pinching to seal the momo into a crescent shape. The fold and shape as shown (you can make these in any shape of choice
Step 4: Steam the momos
Grease a steamer basket, arrange the momos in the steamer and steam them for about 5-6 minutes until they are fully cooked
