Caterham Graduates Sigma 150 Castle Combe Race 2

A much better race this time, although I was too to buy a new gearbox, I had found a workaround for the 4th gear selection issue that involved just ramming the car into 4th from the limiter in 3rd. The only downside was that I couldn't use 5th, which hurt on occasion down into quarry. I got a good start and braked early for quarry, which allowed me to take advantage on the exit and make up some places into the first chicane. Once I was with the 2 leaders, I was more than happy to tow them and leave the rest of the pack behind. I had decided that I would leave it until the last lap to try and move forward, I was pretty sure my car was better rested than the two in front of me. The section from the exit of the first chicane to camp was where I had better pace and the plan might well have worked if we hadn't caught 2 backmarkers there, the first one helped me, the second one ended any chances I had at challenging to be higher on the podium. Time to rebuild the gearbox and diff before th next round at Cadwell.
