Описание к видео Iceland's 3rd largest lava field; Hallmundarhraun

Hello everybody hope you're doing great and are ready to learn something new about volcanoes and geology and in this case about the formation of Hallmundarhraun.

Hallmundarhraun is the 3rd largest lava field to be produced in Iceland since settlement. It comes from the Langjökull system which is located here in what is called the western volcano belt. In the last 10.000 years, this system produced 10 fissure vent eruptions and 4 volcano shields. One of those volcano shields is the beautiful Skjaldbreiður which is the largest shield in Iceland.
