Andhra Pradesh Floods| NDRF | Here's How Drones Are Rescuing People Amid Floods In AP

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams & the state government have now started using drones to carry out rescue operations in Andhra Pradesh by dropping food packets, water bottles, & other necessities for people in flood- affected areas.

Drones were previously only utilised to get an aerial view of disaster-hit areas.

Using them to deliver relief packages have made the job easier, faster, and more efficient, saving fuel for choppers that were used before in relief and rescue operations.

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh said it was the first time that the state government had deployed drones to deliver relief materials to flood-affected people.
