I have read a lot of blogs and watched a lot of videos about nail art and I have made these experiments "on the cheap" with what I have at home...

My top tips are:

EXPERIMENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE: There is no point spending a fortune on Konad Sponges when your kitchen sponge will do.
Konad stamping plates are very good but it is quite expensive and their full nail patterns will only cover your whole nail if you have tiny fingers, so why not try the "Bundle Monster Art"?
Good nail Liners can be purchased for as little as £0.69 so don't go overspending on these...

WATER MARBLE DOES WORK WITH CHEAP POLISH: all you have to do is try.... and be patient. Kleancolor polishes works well and it cost only £0.99

EXCEPTION: For acrylic painting it is really worth investing in genuine brushes and acrylic paints from your local art and crafts shop.

KONAD STAMPING WILL WORK WITH OTHER POLISH: again, it's all about trying.....
