You Raise Me Up (Josh Groban)_Luc Gauthier & Friends - 28 January 2021.

Luc Gauthier is a professional artist and also Director of the theatrical, musical troupe “Choeur Vives-Voix” on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec.

With not much to do during the lock down in September 2020, he wanted to try something he had never done before… recording a song in which he would be the lead singer. I knew that Luc had a great voice… I remember singing “My Way” with him at a Christmas party a couple of years ago. So, he just asked me if I would like to produce a cover of Josh Groban’s song “You Raise Me Up” with him as the singer… and I said "of course I would like do that for you".

From then on, I recruited a couple of musician friends of mine, Csaba Harko (violin) and Annemiek Beex (piano), to help me in getting this project on the way. I wanted 12 female voices for the choir... I gave Luc a short list of names for half of the singers I needed and he recruited the other half of singers on his side to complete the choir. All went well after that. The song was finished in time for Christmas 2020. It was settled then that a video would be made after the holiday season...

Luc is a very talented man, he’s been writing plays and musicals for quite a number of years now and so, he just expanded is artistic experiences with this little jewel. It is important to mention that he produced this video clip entirely, which was a first for him as well. The man is a natural!

This project is a tribute to love and friendship !
