So I decided to switch it up a bit from my last Liminality run, and instead of Caliban / Liar w/ Stasis super I went with Assassin / Liar w/ Tether. I will say that although Caliban has the potential for faster clearings of both the Lucent Seal and Vieled Statue rooms, the safety and freedom that Spirit of Assassin grants me as a guardian is something I value greatly, especially in this strike, considering the large time investment that is required in comparison to others.

I am still proud of my last run w/ Caliban/Liar, which yall can checkout here if you're interested:    • Solo Grandmaster Nightfall: Liminalit...   . It was a 30 minute run - while I love Caliban and was fine keeping a mental note of stylish executioner's cooldown, the gameplay with Assassin / Liar just makes everything easier. Being able to punch everything indiscriminately is genuinely OP. Also this time around I decided to go a bit less troll with the weaponry, I think Izanagi is the undisputable BIS exotic choice for tormentors.

As for the reasoning behind swapping from Silence & Squall to tether, tether just feels best in slot in terms of speed. Sure the void overshield is not nearly as strong as Frost Armor / Woven Mail, but with "Void Hegemony" in the artifact you can at least benefit from longer uptime (10s overshield upon defeat of a weakened target VS. the 5s gained from Facet of Purpose). Also with the Assassin class item, you are pretty much permanently invisible. Tether is great for everything - ad clearing, debuffing boss, and you also gain super energy back very fast. Even quicker if you have a Galanor/Liar roll which is crazy because even with just armor mods I was getting my super back what felt like 40 seconds after casting.

A couple of things that I'd like to point out for those curious on certain aspects / mechanics of Liminality; After the first main room (breaking the 3 lucent seals), you are actually better off NOT killing "Kerr-ath, Expedition Commander" and instead damaging that fella down to as low as possible (5:00 in the vid for reference). That way, between the 2nd and 3rd damage phases in the boss room, you just have a 1/3 health "Kerr-ath" to deal with instead of a full health Wizard (19:09 in the vid).

Secondly, activating the Ahamkara Skulls with taken energy can be glitched where you swap weapons about halfway through the dunk (shown at 6:30 & 17:15) - which dupes the skull. I recommend having a go-to weapon you switch to before initially picking up the skulls - I opted for my heavy weapon because it was easiest to remember, knowing I just had to swap to my 1st or 2nd slot halfway through a dunk to dupe a skull. Totally not necessary but it saves some time and is nice to know if you want to farm / go for fast times.

until next time gamers
