This video is all about my hip surgery recovery, the ups and the downs and my personal healing process. It’s not my usual upload but I want to document the journey for my future self to look back on as encouragement to get through hard times, and for others who may be going through something similar to relate to.

Back story: During and after pregnancy I developed worsening hip pain. I went to physical therapy and they thought I was misaligned so you can find old videos on here for workouts and updates on that. I eventually got an MRI and x-ray where an orthopedic found femoral impingement and a labral tear. Luckily this orthopedic also specializes in giving this surgery and recommended I get it to prevent arthritis down the road and to fix the pain, as labral tears do not heal on their own. I decided it was the best next steps to take for my body and health and on April 6th of this year I got a labral repair and my femoral impingement was shaved down. I am now in physical therapy and am freshly off crutches. I still have some pain in my hip which is to be expected as I am healing. But I am ready to hit play on my life goals that I had to put a pause on and I can’t wait til I’m able to get back behind the wheel and travel with Lyla. I will share more updates as I heal in future videos, but this will likely be the only dedicated hip recovery video on my channel.
