My 1st time on an A330neo. When I saw a geomagnetic storm hit, I decided to fly to London (from Seattle) for a day to see the Aurora from the airplane. DL20 SEA-LHR went beneath the Aurora oval during a G2-G3 geomagnetic storm, when the KP index was around 6-7. The Northern Lights pushed far south enough I went to the right side and was looking south towards the Aurora for much of the flight.

This 26 second timelapse is made from 805 photos, taken by putting the camera lens through a black oval paper shaped like an airplane window I cutout at home, to prevent window reflections, and mounting the camera onto a gorilla-pod (mini flexible tripod) that is put on an armrest. Also chose a flight on an aircraft type (A330) that doesn't have a rear wingtip navigation light, some airplanes have those brightly visible from the cabin making astrophotography very difficult. All 805 photos in this timelapse are straight out of the camera, without any post-processing (the only change is the resizing, from 6000px into a 4k resolution)
