Описание к видео Cambodian Grilled Corn with Coconut Sauce (DELICIOUS) - ពោតអាំងខ្ទិះ - Cooking With You

One of Cambodians' favourite summer snack is grilled corn with a savoury coconut milk and green onion glaze. Here is my Cambodian grilled corn recipe that will surely bring you to flavour town.

Recipe serves 12 corns on the cob.

Ingredients:
12 corns on the cob (husk and silk removed)
1 can (400 ml) of coconut milk
3 to 5 stalks of green onions (depending on how big they are, you may need less if they're big)
2 to 3 teaspoons salt (based on your preference of saltiness)
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions:
1. Thinly cut the 5 stalks of green onions and transfer into a bowl and place to the side.
2. In a medium sized pot on medium heat, pour in 400 ml of coconut milk which is the entire can.
3. Pour 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and stir quickly to completely incorporate it with the coconut milk to avoid clumpy parts.
4. Add in 2 to 3 teaspoons of salt depending on your preference of saltiness. I used 3 because I like it salty.
5. Constantly stir the mixture until you have a thick texture and turn off the heat.
6. Immediately add in the chopped green onions and stir until it is all incorporated and transfer to a medium sized bowl.
7. On the grill at medium heat, place the corn on the cobs with the husk and silk removed. I like to keep like few inches of the shank just so it’s easier to turn the corn on the grill and eat without getting your hands dirty.
8. Brush the coconut milk mixture all over the corn and cover with the barbecue lid for bout 2 - 3 minutes.
9. After 2 - 3 minutes, turn the corn around and you will see that it has become opaque. You’ll need to turn the corn over about every 2 - 3 minutes and when you turn it over, don’t forget to brush the mixture onto the corn. You’ll apply the coconut mixture about 3 times all over the corn until it is cooked.
10. Once you see that the corn is a nice orange-yellow color and slightly charred all over, it is ready so remove it from the grill and brush on a bit more of the coconut milk mixture and serve.
