I borrowed this from another poster here on You Tube, though this is only the end of the interview, the part featuring Steve Dahl ( for the rest of the interview go to    / willg550187415   ) from shortly after Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey Park in Chicago. It's interesting that Tom Snyder called Disco Demolition a 'riot' even though there were only a few arrests compared to the amount of people on the field, and only minor injuries. It was certainly an out-of-control event, but hardly a riot or hateful and violent event. There was certainly 'disorderly conduct' and 'vandalism' but that doesn't qualify it as a riot. The even weirder part is that Disco Demolition is perceived now, 30+ years later, by some as a racist or homophobic 'hate' event when the reality is that it was just a comedy bit and a reaction to the fad aspects of the disco scene. Steve was making fun of the snootier, superficial aspect of the fad (see "Do You Think I'm Disco" for more).
