Jim Adventures to RAGBRAI 2023

RAGBRAI, Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is more than just a bike ride, it is an epic eight-day rolling festival of bicycles, music, food, camaraderie, and community. It is the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world.

My family and I drove from Chesapeake Virginia to Sioux City Iowa over 3 days so that I could participate in this event that I first heard about from the awesome YouTuber, Ryan Van Duzer.

I managed to complete the event while managing a sore Achilles tendon after day 4 and riding the last day with Covid-19 symptoms (was really sick that night). I still had the time of my life and send 1000X thanks out to the state of Iowa, all the towns on the route, and especially the event organizers and volunteers. I'll be back!
