On October 3rd, 2024, Sgt. Kenn was escorting a funeral procession with his emergency lights activated in Orland Park, Illinois. He observed a gray SUV traveling on the median and then cut in front of the hearse. He decided to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for overtaking the funeral procession. He then put stop sticks in front of the SUV's tires. At this time, Officer Kazmierczak arrived on the scene, but the driver continued to refuse to provide his driver's license. Sgt. Swearingen then arrived on the scene and spoke with the driver; however, it was clear that the SUV driver would not comply. After approximately thirty-six minutes, it was determined that forced entry into the vehicle would be made based on the driver not providing identification or stepping out of his car. Officer Hansen then broke out the passenger side window, and officers entered the car; however, the driver continued to resist arrest.

Antonio was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (psilocybin mushrooms were found in his vehicle) and possession of cannabis 100-500 grams. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of resisting/obstructing an officer. Citations for overtaking a funeral procession, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, and possession of cannabis outside an approved container.
