Monsoon is normally not the season any one would prefer going for a trek. But what I have seen with the 2 treks I have gone during Monsoon is that it brings more than rain and landslides. You see all shades of green and the vibrance that it brings to the mountains after the rain. I witnessed something similar during my trek to Nar Phu Valley.

The Nar Phu Valley trek is an unforgettable experience that can only be felt by taking a detour from Koto one of the village from the trail of the very well known Annapurna circuit trail.

Nar and Phu are two distinct valleys one being stoney, deserty, dusty rich with culture representing Gompas and another green, grassland and entry point to Kangla Pass 5380 m. The trail takes you to the wilderness, unexplored and isolated areas of Nar Phu Valley and is considered one of the finest location for observing the grandiose Himalayan peaks in the high land and ends with a walk through Kangla pass that brings you back to the trail of Annapurna circuit’s Ngawal village.

The trails greets you with high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote settlements, narrow canyons, lovely forests, impressive rock formations, yaks, alpine pastures, gompas, and exquisite Tibetan cultures all bundeled together.

The 10 day trek had a lot to offer and I could only capture all the moments. This short film is a memento to myself for to me live and reminisce my experience through it whenever I desire.
