HOW TO TERMINATE THE CAT 6 JUNCTION BOX

Step 1: Using the MST-501B rotate 2-3 turns removing 1.5 inches of the CAT 6 cable jacket.

Step 2: Remove the jacket & cut the pull string off with the CT-101.
Step 3: Double check wires for any score marks on wire. If there is cut marks in the wire repeat step 1 again, NOTE: Tool blades may need adjusting.

Step 4: Place wire into the junction box, align the edge of stripped wire to the metal clip. Using a pair of pliers squeeze/bend the metal clip to create a solid crimp on the jacket of the cable.

Step 5: Once wire is secure separate the wire pairs according to the wiring diagram on the junction box. NOTE: Keep in mind which wire code you are going to use.
Step 6: Try to maintain the twist in each pair as much as possible, place wires in their proper position by pushing the wire into the IDC connector.
Step 7: Double check wire code to make sure it’s correct.
Step 8: Using the PT-110 or PT-3140N tool to punch down the wires. Trim any excess wires using the CT-101.
Step 9: Using a CAT 6 tester to verify all connections are ok.
Step 10: Your CAT 6 junction box is ready to be mounted, using the two sided sticky tape or screws provided mount to any preferred location.
Your installation is now complete.
