A visit to Crystal River Manatees and Weeki Wachee Mermaids in Florida.

It begins with us in the Crystal River area sharing about this episode "We are going to see Manatees" because we're renting a Kayak and exploring the river where Manatees migrate during the winter months.

But first we give you a tour through the delightful Airbnb we rented "Boho Chateau - a true hidden Gem". The next morning we are at Weeki Wachee Park. There have been stories of mermaids being spotted in the area. The search begins...We quickly discover them at the Mermaid Theater where they
present a live depiction of Hans Christian Anderson's "The Little Mermaid". You are given a peek at part of their 30 minute performance.

Following the performance we wander around the park and see beautiful Peacocks, lovely grounds and a Mermaid that resembles Carol?!. We then head to the water park to watch families enjoy the fun.

Next we're are off to see the "Wilderness River Cruise". It is a guided 30 minute boat tour filled with fun, interesting information about the springs, vegetation and wildlife courtesy of Ranger Kane.

The next day we rent a double Kayak to make our way up the river to see Manatees. We spot a tagged small Manatee and had a brief encounter with another one. We did find kayaks...kayaks...and more kayaks :-}

Later that day we enjoy a brief stop suggested, by Ranger Kane, at a great place to see a beautiful sunset at Baypoint Park.

It was a fun time at two different unique Central Florida destinations.
