In December 2024, K-Electric consumers in Karachi will face an additional burden on their electricity bills, while consumers across the rest of Pakistan will receive relief. K-Electric will charge 3.03 PKR per unit for the monthly adjustment and 20 paisas per unit for the quarterly adjustment. This comes as a result of the high cost of electricity production. The rest of Pakistan will benefit from a 1.14 PKR per unit relief due to adjustments from October, while K-Electric customers will also experience a 18 paisa reduction in the September adjustment.
