How Abhijeet Gupta won his 5th Commonwealth Title?

Abhijeet Gupta was in a must win situation in the last round in order to win his fifth Commonwealth title. A draw also could have been enough, but then he would have to be dependent on the result of other boards. That's not how Abhijeet likes to function! He decided that he should win the last round against Arjun Erigaisi and took tremendous amounts of risk for the same. This paid off wonderfully well and Abhijeet became the Commonwealth Champion 2019. This is his fifth title!

In this interview with ChessBase India Abhijeet analyzes his final round win against GM Arjun Erigaisi. We also speak to Abhijeet's wife Aditi and get to know how she feels being called the Mrs. Commonwealth!
