Developing "Intelligent Performers" on and off the field. The Sports Program at Aoba-Japan International School (A-JIS) is an essential part of our holistic IB education. We believe that physical activity is a powerful vehicle for developing leadership, resilience, and teamwork—skills that empower our students to become global leaders.

From our specialized Physical Education (PE) curriculum in the Primary and Middle Years to our competitive Aoba Jaguars athletic teams, we provide students with the facilities and coaching necessary to excel. On our professional-grade turf field in Nerima, Aoba athletes are coached to value sportsmanship and personal growth above all else.

Athletic Facilities:
Hikarigaoka Campus, Nerima (https://share.google/r7RXdZv36ELRNSIV1) : Features a full-sized turfed soccer/futsal field, a 25-meter outdoor pool, a large indoor gymnasium, and a basketball court.

The Aoba Jaguars (Competitive Program):
Our competitive teams participate in the Kanto Plains Schools' Association and other international tournaments across Tokyo.

Core Sports: Soccer (Football), Basketball, and Volleyball.
Holistic Coaching: We use "Global Coaching" methods to help students leverage their strengths and build confidence through high-level competition.

Physical Education & Wellness:
IB Integration: PE is part of the "Personal, Social, and Physical Education" (PSPE) framework, promoting lifelong health and self-motivation.
Diverse Offerings: Swimming is integrated into the curriculum, along with unique modules in dance, martial arts, and team-building challenges.
E-Sports: A-JIS also embraces 21st-century competition through our dedicated E-Sports program, fostering strategic thinking and digital collaboration.
