This subwoofer is in fantastic shape but does have a ding on one of the corners and a couple small dings here and there.

Quality - 7.5

This is a nice subwoofer with better than average quality, given the MSRP.

The cabinet is nice and solid and the woofer feel nice and stout but I have definitely owned higher quality subs, when MSRP is factored in. The BIC F12 comes to mind.

Bass - 7.5

This subwoofer puts out nice and quick bass. It is much better suited in small to medium sized rooms and it can start getting a little too frantic, when asked to dig too deep.

Positioning is key as the bass can be a little boomy, if placed in a corner or in a spot that isn’t optimal.

The bass is articulate and punchy but this definitely isn’t a deep-diver, like many of the subs I’ve recently reviewed.

MSRP Rating - 7.0

$450 is starting to get up into a price point where you can get better performance, HSU and RSL come to mind.

Luckily, this was one of those subs, like the Polk PSW505, seemed to be on sale more often than not.

Aesthetics - 7.0

I’ve never been a big fan of the looks of the Klipsch down-firing subs but this one looks ok. Roughly the same size as the SUB-10, which makes sense due to the same design and also using a 10” woofer.

Like the SW-350, It won’t win any beauty pageants but it isn’t bad looking either. Just looks like a mid-entry level sub to me, which it is.

Price Paid Value - 7.5

$100 for a sub of this caliber is a no-brainer, as long as it’s fully functional, like this one.

If you are in the market for good but cheap subs, be sure to keep this sub, along with Polk and BIC. All three subs/brands of subs are readily available on the used market for cheap, like this one.
