THIS IS MY OWN DEFINITIONS FOR MY OMEGAVERSE

Omegaverse is a world where people have secondary genders alongside their primary ones. With being male or female, they are also categorised under Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

ALPHA
•Alphas are at the top of the hierarchy.
•They are the superior of all the secondary genders
•they are protective of their omegas
•Alphas can only mate and bond with omegas.
•They can release pheromones from their scent glands to scare off other alphas and attract omegas.
•female alphas cannot get pregnant but can impregnate an omega.

BETA
•the most normal / ordinary of the three genders.
•they don't have scent glands and cannot be affected by an alpha and an omega's pheromones.
•basically just a normal human

OMEGA
•the lowest of the hierarchies and are looked down upon as they are seen as weak.
•omegas releases pheromones which are sweet and are the most apparent when they're in heat as it serves as an attractor for alphas.
•Male omegas are the most uncommon combination of primary and secondary genders.
•male omegas are smaller in stature and have more feminine features but their genitalias are still that of a male
•Male omegas go through heats that start from when they're fifteen and up.
•Male omegas have a uterus with the entrance being their ani/ anus. When they're about to go into heat, their body cleanses itself and a valve closes up the digestive tract and their uterus opens, preparing to be mated.

HEAT / ESTRUS
•only omegas go through this
•when they are in heat, they are the most fertile and vulnerable
•can last from 3-5 days if they did not engage in intercourse with an alpha.
•can be calmed down completely by getting knotted by an alpha

PHEROMONES
•hormones that only Alpha and Omegas have
•Alphas use this to attract omegas as it can have an aphrodisiac effect towards omegas. They can also use their pheromones to fight off other Alphas
•Omegas will unconsciously release pheromones during their heats serving as an attraction for alphas to mate with them

SCENT GLANDS
•glands that produces pheromones
•only alpha and omegas have scent glands
•omegas have a sweet scent whilst alphas have an earthy and musky scents.

SUPPRESSANTS
Kinds:
•Alpha Suppressants- taken by Alphas to prevent getting affected by an omega's heats which can be in the form of pills or injectables.
•Heat Suppressants- suppresses the side effects of an omega's heat or estrus period

BONDING
•an act when an alpha bites the neck of their omega
•this is like a "contract" that binds their bodies and emotions as their pheromones will start to mix and they will become a bonded pair.
•once bonded, an omega can not be affected nor affect other alphas beside their bonded mate, it is permanent.
•and if a bonded omega is in heat, they will nest in their mate's belonging to surround themselves with the scent of their mate.

MARKING
•has the same effect as bonding but only temporary
•unlike bonding where the alpha need to bite the omega, marking can be done just by the rubbing of an alpha and omega's scent glands together. This will mask off each others scent.
•this is mostly done by Alphas toward their Omegas

Knot / Knotting:
A bulge of muscles at the base of a the alpha's member that swells either when erect or before orgasm, often to keep both individuals from separating during and after ejaculation to ensure conception. A knot, regardless of primary sex, will last anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour.

Rut / Rutting: A period of 3-5 days where an Alpha-identified individual will act more possessive and territorial than normal, but not specifically in need of mating with someone. Normally, rutting periods are more common after being mated, as part of a biological cycle to protect said mate.

NESTING
•this is when omegas pile up the clothes/ laundry that belong to their mate to surround themselves with their mate's scent to calm themselves down.

GIVING BIRTH
•when male omegas give birth, it is usually done in caesarean / C-section although they can give birth naturally as their birth canal/ rectum can expand and retract back to itself after giving birth.
•but many choose to do C-section as it is less painful because when male omegas give birth naturally, it is much more painful than that of a female beta or omega.
FEEDING
•male omegas can produce milk just like female omegas and betas but they are only able to do so for 3-5 months unlike female betas and omegas which can lactate for more than a year
