This clip breaks down some of the body language in the joint press conference of former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin. When watching, pay particular attention to Abedin's reactions. No doubt she is upset at her husband's actions, but at the same time must show him support so as not to jeopardize his run for the mayor's office. Abedin drew criticism from some who believed that she never should have given him a second chance, let alone a third.

Weiner, now running for New York City mayor, was already known for a 2011 scandal where he sent sexually explicit photos of himself and messages to women both before and during his marriage. What added to the publicity of the scandal was the Congressman's last name, Weiner. The embarrassment his wife most likely felt was exasperated by the fact that she could not exactly go in hiding because she was (and still is as of the upload date) a longtime personal aide to Hillary Clinton. So during and after the scandal she was often spotted on camera whenever Hillary Clinton was on camera. To make matters worse, Abedin was pregnant when the scandal occurred.

Weiner ended up resigning, spent time out of the spotlight, and by 2013 re-imaged himself as a new man. In May 2013 he announced he would be running for mayor of New York City. But on July 23, 2013, more scandalous pictures and sexting by Weiner surfaced. They were allegedly sent under the alias 'Carlos Danger' to a 22-year-old woman with whom Weiner had contact in late 2012, as late as April 2013, more than a year after Weiner left Congress. The implication is that he never learned from his mistake and would lack the appropriate judgment as mayor of the largest city of America.
