Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Atwood 15 foot long by 3/8 inch thick double braided MFP dock line in the black color. Now this is a transient dock line. It's ready to use when you tie up somewhere. So, with this dock line you can skip the knot tying tutorials 'cause this rope's gonna come with this pre-spliced eye on one end, which is just a fancy way of saying just hook it up and go. The spliced end right here is easily passed around a cleat or a piling by someone on the dock, and then, the other end is connected on board the boat.

So, whether you're tying up solo or handing it off to a buddy, it's very quick, secure, and newbie friendly. The line dimension, again, length, 15 feet, thickness 3/8 of an inch, maximum working load limit's 200 pounds. And again, the material is an MFP, which stands for multi-filament polypropylene. It is double braided and as we mentioned, has the pre-spliced loop on one end and it is black in color. Now it is recommended to use 1/8 inch of line diameter for every nine feet of boat length.

So this 3/8 inch diameter line is good for up to 27 foot long boats or pontoons. Now, larger lines will wear longer, but they do stretch less. So you do want to get the correct size for your application. And with this, there's no more wrestling with stiff ropes. The double braided design is very soft to the touch, but strong under pressure.

You can tie it without aggravating the joints in your hands and stash it without a tangle. And if you fumble around and drop the line in the water, it floats. The MFP material is made of a material that allows it to stay on the surface so you don't have to fish around the bottom of the lake for your lost gear. And this line is able to resist UV rays, fuels spills, rain and mildew so you're not tossing it in the trash halfway through the season.
