The fifth episode of our series of webinars is on Regulations Governing Non-Banking Financial Companies.

NBFCs play a very important role in today’s business world. They are used in different capacities at different points of time.

Sometimes they are used as investment vehicles where the intention is to control the flow of funds across various entities; sometimes they are used as financing arms to carry out financial activities.

Therefore, it is very important to understand this concept and the regulatory framework within which these entities operate.

Considering the importance and the vastness of this topic, we have divided this into two parts – one dealing with the basic concepts of NBFCs and the other one dealing with the regulatory aspects of NBFCs.

This is the second part of the topic wherein some significant provisions of the master directions issued by the RBI for NBFC-ND-NSI, NBFC-ND-SI and NBFC-CIC have been dealt with.
