"The story in this song was born when Jonne asked me to come up with the lyrics to a song that he was
composing for a Finnish horror movie called “Backwood Madness”. After receiving the rough draft of the script
and getting in the right mood, the story was ready in no time. The lyrics combine elements of the movie with
my own thoughts about nature, with traditional Finnish horror stories giving it a unique flavor. The text is
meant to generate images in the mind of the reader, which explains the heavy usage of figurative elements."
