Demonstrating NATO’s presence in the region, two Dutch F-35 fighter jets arrived at the National Armed Forces military base “Lielvārde”, which is stationed at the renovated Emari base in Estonia, as part of NATO’s Baltic Airspace Patrol mission.

Dutch F-35 fighter jets are currently providing airspace protection in the Baltics to respond immediately to violations of NATO airspace. The NATO airspace patrol is a continuous task carried out by several member states, including the Netherlands.
