Now clearly on the COP/Car Operating Panel you can find 2 door open buttons. But why? The door open button 2nd from the left is actually the door hold button. Now what it does is it will keep the door open without you having to either put your hand on the door (sensors detect if there is still a person blocking the door, unlike the old fashioned door bumper) or hold the door open button for too long. I'm sure lots of elevator enthusiasts know this judging by, maybe how much elevators they've filmed. This button back then (door hold) was pretty unique unlike today where it's literally everywhere, ranging from generics to these, KONE elevators. Others have these too, btw.
