Chloe Davis Part Two of a five-part true crime documentary on the shocking Davis family murders in Los Angeles, California, April, 1940. Chloe's mother claimed that demons were after the family. Her actions (delusional) could be said to fall under the term altruistic filicide. A well-known historical example of altruistic filicide is the Siege of Masada, in which children were murdered in order to keep them from being murdered or enslaved by the Romans.

We open Part Two with a brief introduction of what happened, reveal a strange connection to The Alienist TV series, and review the historic photos and captions. We also discuss various issues including Dr. Paul de River's suggestion that 11-year-old Chloe had an Electra Complex, as well as possible stressors that may have worsened mother Lolita's psychiatric condition, including stimulant psychosis, and the contemporary L.A. cases of Betty Hardaker and Joan Marie Anderson.

Correction: during the brief segment on murder of a parent by sons or daughters (matricide/patricide), I mentioned one of the reasons it happened in the past included mercy killing of a sick patient.. I said "sick patient" but I meant to say "sick parent."

Davis family home: 1211 West 58th Place, Los Angeles. The deceased were buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Santa Monica.
