MaGMML3 - Get WIld, Get Wet 0 Jumps

Описание к видео MaGMML3 - Get WIld, Get Wet 0 Jumps

The dreaded Wave Bike stage. Wave Bikes are kinda the jump saver category's archnemesis. Or at least they were in MaGMML2. They lock your weapons so you can't use your utilities to get over any potential jumps. Very thankfully, in this game, we have a very easy way to skip Wave Bikes and that's by using Rush Bike. If you're in Rush Bike, you can move into Wave Bikes without getting in them. All the Wave Bikes in this stage are skippable this way. You can then use utilities (and some back alley help from 2018 CSketch who placed bouncy pits in the first section for some reason) to get through the Wave Bike sections without the need to jump at all. In normal runs, if you're a psycho, you might even be able to go through the entire Wave Bike section on just Rush Bike.

This stage is pretty long and a lot of the challenges aren't inconsequential so there's a pretty good chance you'll make a mistake at some point. In particular, any section with the main gimmick, the water spouts, around is pretty rough. Yes, they do give you height on their own, but a lot of them are also placed under a spike ceiling. I try to find spots where I can Rush Jet through rows of them because those setups take a really long time with Electro Cable + Track Shoes. You do have to be careful with Rush Jet in this game though. It's not as easy to use as in MaGMML2. If you try scraping Mega Man's head on a ceiling on Rush Jet in this game, you run a huge risk of falling through Rush Jet. It's an unfortunate side effect of how the collision is handled in the engine.

That one room where I use Ice Wall is pretty interesting. I use it to skip having to climb all the way back to the top of the room and use the water spout. You do have to keep in mind that when you use Ice Wall there, you need to follow Ice Wall as it's dropping. If you just stand there, then when Ice Wall hits the water, it'll sink just enough to despawn before it rises back up.

This is the first 0 jump run on the leaderboard. For improvements, I fumbled the weapon swapping a little at times. I also bet that there's better ways of getting through some of the sections. Like the rooms after the first checkpoint or the second and third Wave Bike sections in particular. There's definitely enough room for improvement where a sub 4 minute time is possible. Just probably not from me. I already spent about 400 attempts in this stage. I need a break from it.
