There's few games I remember more from childhood than Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside. I played a wide variety of video games growing up, but the sports genre was really my favorite. I was big into sports as a kid, and this allowed me to pretend I was actually playing in the game. This game in particular was the first one where I felt the experience. The announcer, Vic Orlando, is unforgettable with the way he announces the names for the home team players, as well as the away team. After Jordan retired, Kobe and Shaq were my favorite players in the league, with Garnett being close behind, being I'm from Minnesota and loved the Wolves. Kobe had this flash and flare about him that was different than anything the league had seen to that point, and the game to back it up. He changed the way the game was played, and this game was a great tribute to a rising star.
