Community Call - mAkE x GIG | First Makers in Residency (MiR24) Online Gathering II

In this Makers in Residency Community Call II, Fadia and Kay from GIG, and Godson from GreenTech discuss the process they went through to get the makers to Europe and ensure they got the best experience possible throughout their residency.

Martine, a maker resident of the Y Hacker space in Belgium, shared her experience in the MiR24 program, where she aimed to create a recycling machine for affordable 3D printer filament. She faced challenges with high filament prices and temperature adjustments but was inspired by her experience in Berlin. She also shared her own experiences of implementing a project in a hacker space and the challenges she faced, including temperature control and motor speed adjustments.

Martine expresses her excitement about the potential success of her project and the importance of knowledge exchange and hands-on learning in the maker community. She emphasizes the benefits of expanding one's thinking and collaborating with others in a maker space setting and the potential for future collaborations and residencies between different continents and countries.
