Angela Gheorghiu was invited on a Romanian television show "Surprize, surprize", to receive an award. But the real surprise was that the whole reason for the show was for her to meet her lifelong idol, inspiration and role model the peerless Virginia Zeani.

In this highly emotional clip the two great sopranos embrace with joy and Angela curtseys to Virginia in genuine veneration.
