Leonardo has been a nightmare - HeatBoys MECHA Tran HB0018

Look, it could be that I am too dumb for complicated transformers. It could be I received a figure that was so tight some of the screws were damaged and almost stripped.. whatever the reason my MechaTran HB0018 Leonardo figure by HeatBoys that I bought from Bombusbee, broke. The foot broke while I was almost completing the Turtle van transformation after hours of struggle.

This epic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Mech is meant to go from robot to party wagon and back, mine can no longer do that as the foot snapped. I was expecting this figure to be diecast metal like the MechaHeat series, but the majority of this is plastic, which is a problem when its so tight and the moves need so much force. As I was puzzled and trying to move the foot around correctly I realized the plastic had torn.

The weapons and accessories are plastic too. All through out I was smudging, bumping and scraping the paint with the tight difficult clearances. The hanger like stand you build is pretty awesome.. though the stand doesn't seem to hold the weight solidly?

It also comes with a mini leonardo figure which is fun he is the pilot, much bigger than the MechaHeat pilots.

The instructions on this figure go only one way, from robot to van. So if you want to go in reverse you have to follow the directions in reverse. Which for me I find unintuitive as hell so maybe you are smarter than me. Good luck! I really do hope I am just bad at this and everyone else can enjoy this figure without issue. For me it was a nightmare ending in breakage so that ends the story of me and transforming heatboys turtles. I have no desire to get Donatello.
