Diaphragm clutch

Diaphragm clutch construction, working and its application.

Diaphragm clutch is a modification of single plate clutch. In single plate clutch we can use coil spring or clutch spring but in diaphragm clutch we can use diaphragm spring by eliminating coil spring or clutch spring.
When we are using query string or clutch springit produce non uniform pressure on the pressure plate so we eliminate the coil spring Okhla spring and use diaphragm spring.diaphragm spring exert uniform pressure on the pressure plate .
The diaphragm spring also called as belleville spring.diaphragm spring is a metallic disc having conical shape and it is having groove circumferential around it.

Note :- In earlier places we can use a best us as a friction material but in modern clutch we can use compound organic resien with copper wire facing.
