Not all watch brands have true signatures. Rolex has its Oyster case, F.P. Journe his iconic hands, Ressence its display of time, Devon its belts. A. Lange & Söhne has several, and when they come together, they produce something incredibly special. A Lange is hard to mistake for anything else as a result, which just makes them all the more compelling — an impressive feat for a brand scarcely 30 years old.

Here we have possibly the ultimate distillation of A. Lange & Söhne, in the guise of the Zeitwerk Honeygold Lumen. Taking what is perhaps its most compelling display of time (no small distinction when discussing Lange), the digital Zeitwerk display, and applying the eye-catching and modern Lumen treatment would have been enough to generate attention. But the choice to package this watch in an 18k Honeygold case elevates this piece above any possible competition — not that there was much to begin with.

There is not much that can be said about the Zeitwerk Honeygold Lumen that the watch doesn’t say itself, so you’ll just have to see it to believe it.
