A Thank You to Jason Heyward

Cubs outfielder Jason Hewyard leaves behind a legacy bigger than baseball in Chicago. In his 7 seasons with the Cubs, he added two more Gold Glove Awards and a World Series Championship to his trophy case. Off the field, Heyward gave his time and money generously to support Chicago youth initiatives, social justice and efforts to address societal inequities. He was the Cubs Roberto Clemente Award nominee for three consecutive years from 2020-22. Thank you, Jason, for not only being a great teammate but for making such a positive impact on Chicago and beyond.
