Longview Vineyard is a jewel in the crown of the Southern Adelaide Hills and Mt Lofty Ranges, one of the oldest mountain ranges on the planet. These hills once towered like the Himalayas, but millions of years of seismic activity and erosion have reduced it to only 710m at its highest with weathered soils and non-porous rock remaining, these are some of the oldest soils on earth. The estate is famed for its pink marble, prized by sculptors, and featured on many of our labels. The undulating hills with various aspects and cool breezes from the southern ocean provide perfect conditions for growing cool climate red and white wines with distinction.

The vineyard lies adjacent to Macclesfield in Peramangk country and sits between 310 and 400 meters above sea level, from our southern boundaries we can view the southern ocean and sand dunes of The Coorong, a World Heritage listed coastal lagoon and home of Storm Boy and the Ngarrindjeri people.

Longview was first planted in 1995 and has become one of the most awarded single sites in Australia.
