the use of the shaper attachment on the Bridgeport milling machine is not limited to making square corners:
- you can also make splines on shafts, inside and out
- keyways
- blind slots and keyways
- and even odd shaped splines

this is a very versatile piece of equipment, and it allows you to free up some of the other machines in the shop for this dedicated operation.
