Northern Ireland's First Minister, Peter Robinson, has threatened to resign unless there is a judicial review into the collapse of the case against a man accused of killing four soldiers in a 1982 IRA attack.

It emerged government officials wrote a letter of assurance to John Downey seven years ago, mistakenly telling him he was no longer a wanted man.

The victim's families are demanding an apology.
