☑️ MICROSOFT AND META SHARES FALL DESPITE EARNINGS BEAT
Frankfurt-listed shares in Microsoft and Meta both fell in early trading on Thursday, even as earnings at the two U.S. tech groups beat Wall Street expectations.
Microsoft predicted slower growth in its cloud business Azure and Facebook owner Meta warned of "significant acceleration" in artificial intelligence-related infrastructure expenses next year.
By 07:11 GMT, Microsoft shares were down 5.1% in Frankfurt and Meta slipped 2.6%. As a result, Nasdaq futures dropped over 1%.

☑️ YEN EXTENDS GAINS AS BOJ’S UEDA COMMENTS ON WEAK CURRENCY
The yen extended gains versus the dollar after Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said he wanted to judge the impact of the weak yen and its background.
Japan’s currency strengthened as much as 0.9% as of 4 p.m. local time, to trade at 152.06 against the dollar. It’s lost more than 6% in October, the worst-performing Group-of-10 currency against the greenback.
Currency markets have been having a major impact on the economy and price trends, Ueda said at a press conference after the BOJ stood pat on interest rates today.

☑️ OIL EXTENDS GAIN AS LOWER US STOCKPILES, MIDDLE EAST IN FOCUS
Oil rose for a second session after US crude inventories shrank, with the market monitoring the Middle East for any potential flare-up.
Brent traded near $73 a barrel after advancing 2% on Wednesday, while West Texas Intermediate edged above $69.
US stockpiles of crude, gasoline and distillates — a category that includes diesel — all declined last week, according to data from the Energy Information Administration.
