On the longest stage of this year's Race across the Basque Country, from Ezpeleta to Altsas, Slovenian ace Primož Roglič had a nasty fall, but continued the race, finished in 18th place in the winner's time and defended the yellow shirt leading. Belgian Qinten Hermans (Alpecin-Deceuninck) was looking forward to the stage victory.
