Peterbilt 320 Maxon Legal One - Semi Automated Garbage Collection

After Waste Expo, Alex and I were heading to Oregon to spend a week there and on the way I knew we had to stop here and at least make an attempt to film these trucks. Having no clue if they had any of these left or not, it was a shot in the dark. Turns out they have this late 1996 Peterbilt 320 Maxon still running residential as well as a 310 Maxon. That truck however had a mount for the fork cylinder sheer off that morning so it was out of service for the day before we could go find it. Their newer trucks consist of one or two second-hand Peterbilt 320 Heil front loader with a Curotto Can, a 320 STS FL and a Heil retriever. I wasn't able to see what else they may have ran.

And if you are paying close attention (especially in the first clip) you''ll notice that this truck does actually have a manual transmission. Hearing it run through the gears was pretty neat since that's not something you often hear from a garbage truck, much less a residential front loader. Overall a visually appealing truck to look at and a great sound to go with it. The custom carry can is also pretty sweet too

Huge thanks to an awesome crew who gives me the impression that this company overall is just a real friendly environment to work. The helper you see through most of the video appeared to have been being trained, likely one of his first few days on the truck so please, no rude comments.
