If your social media is anything like mine, you've seen the little black DIME products on your feed!

I asked them to send me some and today we're unboxing (ahem, un-bagging, which is a point in itself!) the three things I chose and looking into what the brand really is.

We're reviewing both the company as a whole and their claims, as well as trying DIME Beauty's TBT Serum, TBT Cream, and 7 Summers Perfume. I’ll cover everything from pricing in the UK and USA to comparisons with similar products. Im very picky about what comes into our home and goes on my skin from the perspectives of himan health impact, sustainability, and company ethics so that’s what I’m looking at as I review this and any brand. When it comes to skincare though, my 37 year old skin also wants skincare with actives that really work!

🕵️ Website Review & Unanswered Questions:
In the video I evaluate DIME Beauty’s website a bit, and their claims and product information. I’ll point out areas I found confusing and share the questions I’ve posed to them that remain unanswered.

🌿 EWG Verification Explained:

EWG ratings and partnership are a big part of DIME's marketing so we're diving into that too. Understand the Environmental Working Group (EWG) verification process and what it does and doesn't mean for shopping DIME.

💬 My Personal Experience:

My skin did like the products in the few days I tried them. It felt happily soft and smooth after using the TBT Serum and TBT Cream and makeup application was great afterwards. I did get the ones recommended for my skin type.

On the perfume: While the 7 Summers Perfume is priced attractively compared to other EWG verified options (very attractively), it didn't stand out for me personally. It was still "smell-able" by the end of the day but more on my clothes than actually on my skin. I would have reapplied if I was going out. However, fragrance preferences can be subjective, so try it if you want an EWG verified one where you can see every ingredient - I'll always celebrate that transparency.

💡 Final Thoughts:
DIME Beauty does what they say in making clean and simple looking products with safer ingredients, and they have a good start on sustainability. Whether their skincare is a better choice than many brands in my book, the value is going to depend on your location and other available options. In the UK, I think there are brands doing more at a lower price skincare wise. My top choice is Evolve Organic Beauty who come in at a lower price point on all the products, with brilliant ethical sourcing, and have very transparently sustainability (on emissions scopes 1, 2 and 3.) In the US however, I think DIME is much more worth trying. You can use the code they gave me, "KEZIA" for 20% off if you want to try DIME products. Plus, they offer returns, which is great for trying new brands!
