The death toll from the shooting incident at the tavern in the Nomzamo informal settlement in Orlando West, Soweto has risen to 15. Gauteng Premier David Makhura has conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Nine other people were wounded, four of them critically and are in hospital.

Makhura says the tavern was operating within the framework of the law.
