YOU'RE PLAYING THE WRONG TEES! Also, How to NOT break 80

We played Rachakram off the tips at 7000 yards. I am pushing myself this year to play longer courses because I want to use my driver more often. But what this round shows is that lack of practice or grooving my swing is causing some serious issues.

The play was not that bad, but not very good. The course was new to me and at 7000 yards, with a bit of wind around, it was tough especially not knowing where to hit the ball and on what lines.

I dropped a few shots on the back side, mainly due to commitment issues, I let my concentration slack and I made some cardinal errors. These errors make double bogeys. Double bogeys kill your scores if you play off a single figure or are trying to break 80 for the first time.

I know what I have to do and I know how to do it. The main problem we have is we have limited time. So whenever you hear people comparing us amateurs to pros in terms of the long game (outside 130 yards), close your ears. We just don't have time to go hit the driving range and chipping area for even nearly the same amount of time.

It just shows that if you have a bit of a sjoerrie round, with some scrambling skills and short game you can come out on top every round you play. Work that short game playas!
