The Art of Patience: Exploring Nature with Sooyeoun Baek

I met Sooyeoun Baek at her exhibition in the Daegu Artway, and joined her at night as she filmed at the ancient tombs in Bullo-dong, where she shared her process for the first time. I first discovered her work in 2018 when she invited Tengger and Sean O’Gorman to join her performance at the Daegu Art Factory, before inviting her to perform at Big Day South 2022 in Daegu. After following her work for so many years, it was a pleasure to dive deeper into her creative process and thinking.
