AED Audio for 10.000 people at the Brussel Brost Student Festival

At the recent Brussel Brost festival, students and other attendees were treated to superior sound quality. This enhancement was made possible by AED Audio equipment, operated by P-Productions, who were commissioned by agency JADA Events.

Held at the ING Arena in Brussels (the former Paleis 12), the festival, which marks the start of the academic year, welcomed 10,000 students.

The audio equipment, including Flex6, Solid15, and Solid28 speakers, was prepared and pre-cabled at the AED Rent warehouse in Willebroek. This preparation facilitated a quicker, more efficient setup at the event location, requiring a smaller load-in crew.

AED Audio’s flexible design involves the use of three cabinet types and a small number of accessories. This simplicity did not compromise the quality of sound, proving suitable for the large audience in attendance.

AED Rent’s pre-cabling option is a key time saving feature for both load-in and load-out. The ease of transport and setup, enabled by the Universal Touring Dollies, made the process straightforward and efficient.

The Flex6 demonstrated its full flexibility at the Brussel Brost festival. Although it was utilized in a large line-array setup and as front and side fill for this event, its design allows it to also function effectively as a full-range top speaker for smaller gatherings, showcasing its adaptability for various event scales and settings, from 1 to 10.000 people.

Brussel Brost offered various live performances and DJ sets during the night in the ING Arena. As the event concluded, the equipment was easily loaded out, underlining the system’s flexible design. The capability of the system to serve diverse audience sizes, from small groups to large crowds, was evident.
