In a previous video, I used microphone placement, EQ, and compression to fill out the sound of this guitar and come up with the best tone possible in an acoustic context. Today, I present the Ibanez AF71F in a full-band mix. Next week, I'll be putting my expensive Eastman through the same situation so you can decide for yourself how far an affordable archtop goes.

Audio Technica AT2021 (small condenser mic) pointed towards the body of the guitar.
Direct injection with EQ, compression, and slight delay/reverb/chorus

500 Miles High is a jazz fusion song by Chick Corea and Return to Forever. Composed by Corea with lyrics by Neville Potter, it was recorded in 1972 for the group's second album, Light as a Feather, which was released in 1973.
